Mike Brown

OWNER

The brains behind Tacoma Bike, Mike has been in the cycling industry for over 25 years, and developed close relationships with many of our customers & suppliers. A true cycling enthusiast, Mike has traveled the world on his Ritchey Breakaway, but is proud to call Tacoma home. His vision for an independent, community-oriented bike shop is what sets us apart. As Mike likes to say, “We’re in the people business.”

SERVICE MANAGER

An experienced shop technician, Peter can diagnose any technical issue you encounter and prescribe the appropriate treatment. Specializing in Campagnolo and DI2 electronic shifting, Peter stays up to date with the latest technology. He believes that every cyclist deserves the best riding experience possible.

Seth Winbolt

STORE OPERATIONS

Often working behind the scenes, Seth maintains our store inventory and computer database, troubleshooting anything that comes his way. Having worked at Tacoma Bike since its inception, his extensive knowledge of our products & services will help you find the perfect solution.

Dereck Pickerel

SHOP TECHNICIAN

Having lived in Tacoma for over 20 years, Dereck is well-connected with the cycling community, bringing years of experience to the store. He especially enjoys the commuting aspect of cycling, and is a big proponent of pro-bike legislature and biking as a lifestyle choice.

Joel

SHOP TECHNICIAN

The son of a bike shop proprietor, Joel literally grew up around bikes. He picked up a wrench as a teenager, and never really looked back. We are very grateful for Joel’s wealth of knowledge and ability to quickly diagnose any mechanical troubles you may encounter.

Kyle Egerdal

ASSISTANT SHOP TECH

A math major and all-around problem solver, Kyle loves tinkering with bikes until they ride like a charm. He’s also studying up for a 9-month service project fixing bikes in Zambia, India and Holland. Learn more at 90bikes90days.org.

James Irish

BIKE BUILDER

The first person to greet a new bike out of the box, James is responsible for keeping our fleet stocked. The recipient of an aortic valve replacement, James pedaled his way thru the Courage Classic with a bike built by Tacoma Bike.

Karly Siroky

MARKETING COORDINATOR

Charged with maintaining the Tacoma Bike “brand,” Karly manages our internal & external advertising including storefront displays, in-store signage, print materials and web development. You’ll also find her behind the camera lens, photographing our Saturday group rides and other events.

Emily Tollefson

FITNESS SPECIALIST

A familiar face in the Tacoma athletic community, Emily has helped numerous cyclists improve their performance through conditioning & strength training. A competitive triathlete herself, Emily is an important asset to the store and is happy to chat with you about your fitness needs.
